Putin warns gas transit to Europe via Ukraine still problematic

President of Russia Vladimir Putin in an interview to Serbian daily Politika warned Europe about possible problems with gas transit via Ukraine.
“As for the future of Russian gas exports to Europe, the problem of transit across the Ukrainian territory remains. One of the more obvious solutions might be to diversify the delivery routes,” Reuters agency quotes Putin.
In this context he spoke about the need of unblocking the South Stream and using the OPAL gas pipeline at full capacity, the DW writes.
OPAL is a continuation of the Nord Stream and goes from Germany to the Czech Republic.
