“Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is now in Kyiv. A series of meetings will take place. There will be important discussions about the geopolitical situation, the energy market, and energy and military security.”

When asked about the expectations for the visit by the head of government the spokesperson assured us that the gesture and Prime Minister’s presence “is a political signal towards the Kremlin.”

“This signal will also go out today. We will support Ukraine in this extremely difficult situation. We are convinced that Russia is violating all international standards. The protection of Ukraine is our security.”

Muller also responded to a question about the Ukrainian counteroffensive. He stated that although “every meter taken” is good news, it is not always followed by information about the tragic, full picture Russia has painted.
