The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Portugal informed on March 27, 2023, on Twitter, that Ukraine received three Leopard 2A6 tanks from Portugal.

“The 3 Leopard 2A6 tanks promised by Portugal are already in Ukraine. They have been delivered as determined by our partners. Portugal continues to support Ukrainian resistance to the illegal invasion of Russia,” reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Portugal.
Earlier, Portugal reported that it was in talks with Germany to purchase parts needed to repair the Leopard 2 tanks.
After repair, as mentioned, the tanks will be sent to Ukraine.
At first, Portugal announced its intention to send four Leopard 2 units to Ukraine, and then it became known that the country repaired and will hand over three such tanks to Kyiv in March 2023.
The day before, it became known that Germany handed 18 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, as well as ammunition and spare parts.
