On Monday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with President of the European Council Donald Tusk, press office of the Ukraine’s President reported.
The parties coordinated their positions on the eve of the session of the EU Council at the level of foreign ministers planned for January 29.
Petro Poroshenko urged the EU to increase the volume of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine and discussed the issue of Donor conference planned for April 2015.
Ukraine’s President also informed on the developments in eastern Ukraine after the terrorist attack on Mariupol. He expressed gratitude to the President of the European Council for his statement on clear support of Ukraine and his call for the more severe position of the EU towards the aggressor.
