Poroshenko in Brussels says Ukraine will ratify Association Agreement in September

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko assured the European leaders that the Verkhovna Rada will ratify the Association Agreement with the EU in September.
The head of the Ukrainian state said after a meeting with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso in Brussels on Saturday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“During the meeting, I assured that the Verkhovna Rada will ratify the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in September, as we agreed before,” Poroshenko said.
He recalled that ratification would allow the Ukrainian side to begin the temporary application of the provisions of a deep and comprehensive free trade area from November 1, 2014.
“Despite the aggression, we are committed to the desire of people after the Maidan, and we are working for democracy and the rule of law for the sake of eradicating corruption and decentralization of power,” the President emphasized.
