Poroshenko holds phone conversation with Georgian Prime Minister

Ukrainian President Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the president`s press service has reported.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations and agreed to intensify political dialogue at all levels, according to the press service.

The interlocutors noted the importance of enhancing Ukraine-Georgia interaction, inter alia, in the framework of the international organizations. The Head of State highly evaluated consistent and comprehensive support for Ukraine and emphasized a significant importance of continuing cooperation in multilateral formats for the efficient protection of human rights and de-occupation of Ukrainian and Georgian territories.

Poroshenko and Kvirikashvili noted the expediency of intensifying cooperation in many areas, particularly enhancing the economic dimension of cooperation. The parties reached an agreement on holding the regular session of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukraine-Georgia Commission for Economic Cooperation in spring 2017.

The interlocutors agreed to continue dialogue within the international platforms shortly.

The Prime Minister of Georgia invited the Ukrainian President to visit Georgia at his convenience.
