Poland admits strengthening of sanctions against Russia

Polish foreign minister Grzegorz Schetyna admits the possibility of strengthening the sanctions against Russia if it continues aggression against Ukraine.
He has said this on Wednesday on the air of the Polish Radio, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“There is always the possibility of strengthening sanctions, making them more painful,” he said.
According to Polish foreign minister, there are some countries in Southern and Western Europe, which advocate “normalization” of relations with Russia.
“However, the situation is different today, and it cannot be tolerated. You cannot conduct a normal policy after the annexation of Crimea and the events taking place in eastern Ukraine,” Schetyna said.
In this regard, he stressed the need for unity of the EU member states on the issue of sanctions against Russia.
