PACE resolution urges Russia to free Ukrainian director Sentsov

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted the resolution in which it urged the Russian Federation to release Ukrainian director Oleh Sentsov.
This decision was supported by 77 parliamentarians, 17 voted against it and three parliamentarians abstained during voting, the Ukrinform own correspondent reported.
The document notes that taking into account the UN decision on the illegality of Crimea annexation, Oleh Sentsov should be immediately released to Ukrainian law enforcement authorities.
As a background note, Oleh Sentsov was arrested last May in the Crimean peninsula. The Russian FSB charged him with preparing terrorist attacks on the peninsula. The Ukrainian director has denied these allegations.
