The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has overwhelmingly adopted a resolution calling upon Russia to refrain from financing terrorism, an Ukrinform correspondent has reported.
“The resolution (which includes the corresponding amendment) was supported by 140 MPs, seven voted against, eight abstained,” chair of the meeting said.
The wording of the amendment, proposed by the Ukrainian delegation, calls upon the Russian Federation to refrain from further financing of terrorists in the east of Ukraine and supporting illegal armed groups, as well as to implement the Minsk agreements.
