106 prisoners escaped from a colony in Donetsk after the shelling, some of them have already returned, the press service of Donetsk City Council reported on Monday.
“Late in the evening of August 10 as a result of artillery shelling, a shell hit a residential area in a penal colony No.124 in Kirovsky district. One prisoner was killed, three people were injured and 15 were slightly injured. In addition, the shells damaged headquarters, substation and industrial zone. Riots broke out at the prison and 106 people left the detention facility. As of the morning some of them have returned to the correctional institution,” the report reads.
