One of the organizers of the bloody dispersal of Zaporizhzhia Maidan Oleksandr Peklushenko was found dead

In Zaporizhzhia Region on March 12, 2014, was found dead Oleksandr Peklushenko. He  was the former head of Zaporizhzhia regional administration of Ukraine (2011-2014), member of Yanukovych’s Party of Regions.

Oleksandr Peklushenko was one of the organizers of the bloody dispersal of Zaporizhzhia Maidan. In June 2014 he was  accused of law violation during Maidan dispersal on January 26 because of committing a crime according to “Abusing power or authority” and “Mass protests organisation” punitive articles.

During the Revolution of dignity Peklushenko said he would always be the “true soldier” of Yanukovych.

Advisor to Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko reported about the death of Oleksandr Peklushenko:

“An hour ago the former head of Zaporizhzhia regional administration of Ukraine in times of Yanukovych’s regime Oleksandr Peklushenko was found shot dead in his house. At the site works investigative team. At the site found the weapon from which Peklushenko probably shot” – Gerashchenko wrote on his official Facebook.

Adviser to the Minister of the Interior admitted:

“Perhaps the reason for the suicide could be the reluctance Peklushenko held criminally responsible for the illegal dispersal and maiming activists Euromaidan in January – February 2014”.

A.Geraschenko said that according to the criminal proceedings, together with Peklushenko was “the head of the regional council and a former chief of police”:

“Interior Ministry initiated criminal proceedings under article” premeditated murder “to test all possible versions of the death of Oleksandr Peklushenko. Basic version: suicide, incitement to suicide, murder, disguised as suicide,” – said the adviser to the head of the Interior Ministry.

The case is under investigation.
