New sanctions against Russia will be provided because of violating the Minsk agreements

State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki accused Russia of violating the cease-fire with Ukraine in Donbas.

“We obviously watch what’s happening on the ground and that impacts what consequences we may put in place. We obviously continue to consider a range of options, including sanctions. There’s active discussions in the Administration about that which the Secretary was referring to, as well as with our partners,” said Jen Psaki.

While Ukraine started the withdrawal of heavy weapons in compliance with the Minsk agreements, pro-Russian terrorists continue shelling towns in Eastern Ukraine. Besides by pro-Russian forces was shelled town Shyrokyne with artillery killing a civilian.

State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said that there has been repots about some improvement in the Donbas area these days but the violations of the Minsk agreement continue:

“There are still violations… I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a positive step,” stated Psaki and added: “It’s just a slight improvement.”
