The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 33 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.34 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for November 17:
$100 costs UAH 2,634.5680 (on November 16, it was UAH 2,601.1762);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,819.5147 (on November 16, it was UAH 2,800.1662);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.0817 (on November 16, it was UAH 3.9679).
On Wednesday, November 16, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 26.20/26.30 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 28.0850/28.1870, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4000/0.4020.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 26.3457 to the dollar, with 528 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $292.22 million.
