More than 7,000 civilians have died in Ukraine as a result of shelling by Russian occupiers

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said on September 2, 2022, that more than 7,000 civilians have died in Ukraine as a result of enemy shelling, and 5,500 have been injured. The police recorded 22,000 Russian shellings since the beginning of the war.

“More than 24,000 civilian objects were hit by such shelling. I want to emphasize that the shelling takes the lives of civilians – and the number of civilians who died during this war already exceeds 7,000 people! And another 5,500 civilians were injured,” – said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevgen Yenin.

The Minister also added that the police recorded 22,000 shellings of Russian troops since the beginning of the war.

“We have recorded more than 22,000 attacks since the beginning of the war. Such attacks hit more than 24,000 civilian targets. As I have already said, in 90% of cases, these attacks hit civilian targets.”
