Terrorists continued to shell the units of Ukrainian security forces as of the morning on October 1, using Grad rockets, the press center for the anti-terrorist operation has reported.
“Last night, uncontrolled armed groups shelled the positions of the Ukrainian military. Our units came under mortar fire near the settlements of Shchastia, Frunze, Krasnohorivka, Chornukhyne and Olkhovatka,” reads the statement.
One resident of Popasna was killed and three more injured as a result of yesterday’s shelling of the town by militants with Grad rockets.
According to the press center, last night at the Donetsk airport was quiet, and this strategic facility remains under the control of Ukrainian units that have recently been reinforced with arms and personnel.
The situation around Mariupol is controlled by the anti-terrorist operation forces.
