Militants plan to cut off mobile communications in Donbas – Lysenko

From January 15, 2015 militants plan to cut off Ukrainian mobile operators in the occupied part of Luhansk region and replace them with a Russian operator.
The spokesman for the information and analytical center of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andriy Lysenko, said this at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“NSDC has information that from January 15, 2015 terrorists plan to turn off Ukrainian mobile operators in the occupied part of Luhansk region and establish coverage of a large Russian mobile operator,” Lysenko said.
When asked which Russian operators plan to start their activities on Donbas territory, temporary beyond Ukrainian control, he said that “there is information and there are powerful operators.”
“As soon as they appear and begin to work, we will report about this. However, locals are already being warned about the changes,” he said.
