Terrorists continue to shell Luhansk houses and social facilities, killing civilians. On Monday, during the shelling of the local nursing home they killed five older people, the press office of Luhansk City Council said in a statement.
“As a result of a non-stop shelling of the city 5 civilians have been killed (they were all from a senior home), eight civilians have been injured,” the report reads.
According to the local authorities, except for the senior home, the terrorists also attacked an academic building and dormitories of the Medical University, a hospital, Lenin Plant (Luhanskpatron).
Shells caused fire at two houses, garages, an equestrian school. Overall, for the last 24 hours 14 houses and sites have been damaged.
Due to the damages in life support systems of the city more than 40,000 residents in all districts of Luhansk have been cut off electricity supply, water supply – more than 20,000 residents. Over 4,000 residents of Luhansk remain without gas supply.
