MEP calls for total boycott of Russia
The EU should implement a total boycott of Russia.
Such an opinion has been expressed by MEP from Lithuania, co-chairman of the informal Group of Friends of European Ukraine Petras Austrevicius, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Brussels.
“We need to move from a policy of sanctions to the total boycott of Russia, which should include sports as well,” the Lithuanian politician said.
Yesterday in Brussels, members of the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs supported the need for further strengthening sanctions against Russia. MEPs called on the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini to take such a decision on an urgent meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council on January 29.
