Medvedev says Ukraine is Russia’s potential military adversary

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said that Russia will respond to the cancellation by Ukraine of its non-aligned status.
He wrote this on his Facebook page.
“The U.S. president signed the anti-Russian law that gives any U.S. president the right to use sanctions against our country at any time. As in the case of the Jackson-Vanik law, our relations with the U.S. will be poisoned for decades… The president of Ukraine tabled in the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the cancellation of Ukraine’s non-aligned status, in fact, an application for NATO membership, making Ukraine a potential military adversary of Russia. Both of these decisions will have extremely negative consequences. And our country will have to respond to them,” Medvedev wrote.
As reported, Poroshenko submitted the bill on the cancellation of Ukraine’s non-bloc status and asked Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman to ensure the priority consideration of this document.
