Lysenko expects further escalation in Donbas
KYIV, January 28 /Ukrinform/ During the day militants continued to assault and shell the positions of ATO forces.
Spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Wednesday.
“The facts of arrival of goods, weapons, ammunition, fuel and lubricants from the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as another Russian so-called ‘humanitarian’ convoy, which has already left for Donbas, indicate the possibility of another escalation of the armed conflict,” he said.
According to Lysenko, terrorists have repeatedly fired at the positions of Ukrainian military with artillery, mortars, grenade launchers, tanks and Grad multiple rocket launchers along all directions of ATO area.
