Kyiv to host Ukrainian-German Business Forum Oct 11

The Ukrainian-German Business Forum, earlier scheduled during the Germany visit of Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman late June, will be held October 11 in Kyiv, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

The forum will consist of five panel discussions – on industry, infrastructure and logistics, innovation and the digital world, renewable energy and energy efficiency, agribusiness and food, the ministry wrote on Facebook.

The ministry has called on the representatives of the Ukrainian business to send applications for participation.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Mr Groysman visited Germany June 27-28. Berlin has become the second capital, following Washington, visited by the head of government. Groysman held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, agreeing to hold a Ukrainian-German business forum in Kyiv.

Ukraine in 2015 held a series of business forums, particularly in the United States and Germany, which resulted in signing of the roadmap for trade cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S., as well as an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on provision of loan to Ukraine for the purchase of gas from Europe.

In 2016, big business forums were organized in Canada and Belgium.
