Kyiv fuel oil will be enough for 2-3 weeks

The amount of fuel oil, kept at Kyiv thermal power plants, will be enough for 2-3 weeks of the heating season in the case of gas shortages.
Director of the department for housing and communal infrastructure of the Kyiv city state administration Dmytro Novytsky told reporters, Ukrinform’s correspondent reports.
“It (oil – Ed.) will be enough for about 2-3 weeks. I believe that this is the time to resolve the issue of stable gas supply if the situation with its lack arises…” he said.
However, Novytsky said that this year oil has not been used for heating yet. He expressed confidence that the situation will not come to the point when it will be necessary to use it.
