The Kremlin is calling on Ukraine to review its entry ban on Russia`s singer who planned to participate in this year`s Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Yulia Samoilova, according to Russian news agency TASS.
”Certainly, the Ukrainian side`s decision seriously devalues the upcoming contest and this is a blow to Eurovision`s image,” Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
He recalled the event`s organizers had already voiced regret over the decision by Ukraine`s intelligence agency, the SBU, TASS reported.
”We also consider this decision to be flawed and in fact, of course, we expect that this decision will be reviewed allowing the Russian participant to able to take part in this contest,” Peskov stressed.
Earlier, the SBU Security Service of Ukraine banned Eurovision 2017 participant from Russia Yulia Samoilova from entering Ukraine.
