A man who killed three police officers in Kyiv on December 18 has been detained.
Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote this on his Facebook page.
“The killer, a drug dealer who committed the murder of three police officers yesterday, has been detained. He fired back during the arrest, but a ballistic shield used during the assault on the apartment where the criminal was hiding saved our fighters. Under the cover of special forces the killer was hospitalized with serious injuries,” Avakov wrote.
Spokesperson for the Kyiv prosecutor’s office Olena Yakhno reported that criminal proceedings had been launched under Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (murder of two or more people).
“This is related to drugs,” she said.
