Due to the long negotiation process between the Embassy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Israel, it was possible to change the previous ban of the government.

The Minister of Interior of Israel Ayelet Shaked confirmed that Israel would provide employment permits to Ukrainians who are forced to stay in Israel due to the war in Ukraine.

“The Embassy welcomes the Ministry’s decision, which is unprecedented in local law. The permits will allow Ukrainians legally work in Israel and support themselves financially as long as the war in Ukraine continues and our citizens are unable to return home.”

Now the issue of the procedure for issuing permits is being worked out.
