Investigation gains access to Yanukovych’s talks with Russia before escaping

There is a slight progress in the investigation into murders taken place during EuroMaidan, member of the investigative team at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, criminal law expert Oleksiy Donskyi has said in comments to LB.ua.
According to him, few days ago the investigators managed to gain access to the telephone conversations between Yanukovych and some individuals before his escape.
“It’s too early to speak about some progress, but there are slight positive moments. It is about clarifying the circumstances committed by the so-called “third force”, but it is not the third force. I would call it a Russian trace,” Donskyi says.
The criminal law expert also notes that on Wednesday the investigators obtained the access to telephone traffic while checking information on Russian trace in murder on Maidan. While checking, the experts revealed Russian mobile phones [numbers], which came in contact with Yanukovych in the time of shooting on February 20 and in the process of Yanukovych’s escaping Ukraine to Russia on February 22 and 23.
As reported, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine consolidated all criminal cases involving crimes against EuroMaidan in one case.
