Technical mission of the International Monetary Fund has started its work in Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
According to the Finance Ministry, among the key issues on the agenda is the assessment and recommendations on the concept of development of the State Fiscal Service, which was developed by the ministry together with the SFS.
”We are working together to launch the medium-term reform of the SFS, which is one of the key priorities of the Ministry of Finance and is very important for improving the tax administration system,” the report says.
As UNIAN reported, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Oleksandr Danyliuk, in July 2016 presented to the experts from the technical mission of the International Monetary Fund a plan for reforming the State Fiscal Service.
The State Fiscal Service, including the tax and customs services, as well as the tax police, was formed based on the former Ministry of Revenue and Duties, liquidated in March 2014 with the arrival of the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
According to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, the SFS was and remains the ”champion” in the number of complaints from businesses to government bodies. In this regard, the reform of the SFS is one of the government`s priorities.
