NBU governor Valeria Hontareva forecasts the hryvnia strengthening on condition of the stable situation.
She told a press conference Tuesday.
“Today, a substantial increase of the aid from all international organizations and donors is discussed. And therefore, we do not prognosticate the hryvnia depreciation in the future, and with stabilization of the situation, we hope even for its strengthening,” Hontareva noted, quoted by the NBU on Facebook.
According to her, today, the main task of the National Bank is to help the government implement economic reforms. “That, in turn, will bring macroeconomic stability, which is extremely necessary for the banking system of Ukraine. Considerable support of international financial organizations will help us keep the situation and will give time our government to hold reforms,” the NBU governor said.
