Group of Russian intelligence officers destroyed in Donbas – General Staff

A Russian military intelligence unit was destroyed during an armed clash in eastern Ukraine on Wednesday.
A representative of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Major-General Oleksandr Rozmaznin, said this on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“A group of Russian intelligence officers came up to our checkpoint, shelled it with grenade launchers and was completely destroyed,” he said.
According to Rozmaznin, there is documentary evidence that they were not militants, but “an intelligence subunit of one of the [Russian] military units stationed on Ukrainian territory.”
