Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Minister Pavlo Sheremeta handed in his resignation on August 20, RBC-Ukraine has reported, citing a source in the Cabinet of Ministers secretariat.
“Today he wrote a statement of resignation and sent it to the Verkhovna Rada, because the Verkhovna Rada will have to consider this statement,” reads the report.
The secretariat did not specify the reason why Sheremeta tendered his resignation.
As reported, Sheremeta was appointed Ukraine’s minister for economic development and trade on February 27, 2014.
