A global post-war security system was destroyed in 2014, so the world has become less safe.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at a press conference on Monday.
“The world has become less safe, less predictable, and a global post-war security system has been destroyed. It no longer works,” he said.
According to him, the year 2014 for Ukraine and the world was the most difficult year in the last 70 years, but despite the challenges it showed the unity of the world.
“I cannot agree that the world has become bipolar. The world remains civilized. And the fact that the whole world united around Ukraine and that the world demonstrated very strong unity and solidarity with Ukraine shows that we have a very serious reason for optimism, but the challenges and risks facing Ukraine since the beginning of 2014 were really impressive,” Poroshenko said.
