FSB hands Ukrainian man detained for alleged espionage in Samara over to ”DPR” militants

The Ukrainian citizen earlier detained in Russia`s Samara allegedly for spying for Ukraine`s intelligence services was deported from Russia to the militant-controlled area of Donetsk region, the self-styled ”Donetsk People`s Republic,” TASS reported with reference to the regional office of the FSB Federal Security Service.

”A citizen of Ukraine, previously detained in Samara on suspicion of working for Ukrainian intelligence, was deported to the territory of the ”DPR” for further investigation,” TASS report reads.

Earlier, the Ukrainian citizen had been detained at Samara railway station on April 13, on trumped up charges of working as a special HUMINT asset of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The FSB claimed the man was collecting information about the situation at the railway station before he was detained by police.
