Foreign Ministry comments on Russian ‘humanitarian convoy’

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that humanitarian assistance should come to Ukraine only in coordination with the government and in accordance with the Ukrainian law.
This comment appeared “in view of the intention of the Russian Federation to send to Ukraine a cargo that Russian party determines as humanitarian on January 31, 2015,” the Foreign Ministry press service reported.
“Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly called Russia’s attention to the fact that the previous ‘humanitarian aid’ was moved into the territory of Ukraine with a gross violation,” reads the statement.
However, Ukraine welcomes humanitarian aid from the foreign governments and international organizations, the ministry said.
The ministry also placed the responsibility for the security of cargo on Russia and militants.
As reported, it will be the 12th column, which Russia sends to the east of Ukraine. Last “humanitarian convoy” was sent in early January.
