More details released about assassination attempt on LPR leader

Former head of the Department for Countering Drug-Related Crime of the National Police of Ukraine Ilya Kiva, who is serving with the National Guards, has provided some details about the assassination attempt on leader of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People`s Republic (LPR) Igor Plotnitsky.

According to doctors at the hospital where Plotnitsky was taken for medical care, the LPR leader is listed in serious condition, Kiva wrote on Facebook.

”After the explosion, Plotnitsky`s SUV was loaded onto a tow truck and taken to the hospital, from where Plotnitsky was transferred, which implies that the wounds had been very serious and no one dared to pull him from the exploded car at the scene,” Kiva wrote.

Further, added Kiva, one of Plotnitsky`s guards, who was also in the car at the time of the explosion, was killed, and two were wounded.

At the same time, the leadership of the so-called LPR claims that Plotnitsky is not in danger after his car exploded. As stated in a report by the so-called ”Council of LPR Ministers”, Plotnitsky`s health remains stable following the assassination attempt.

Also, a video from the scene of the explosion has emerged on the internet. It can be seen that the car, although severely damaged, was not set on fire after the bomb was detonated.
