Deputy Chairman of Ukraine’s Parliament presented to U.S. officials a list of the weapons that Ukraine needs to fight pro-Russian terrorists

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy arrived in Washington, USA to meet with Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services John McCain, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner, representatives of the Pentagon and talk about the ways to help Ukraine in its fight to fend off pro-Russian terrorists and to provide lethal weapons to the Ukrainian forces.

“The position of the United States will be decisive. After the United States, I’m confident many leaders of the European countries, Canada, will support this initiative and will more actively assist Ukraine,” the vice-speaker said.

On Thursday, February 26, Andriy Parubiy hold the meeting with the U.S. Republican Senator John McCain who urged the Obama administration to provide lethal weapons to the Ukrainian forces. First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada has shown a list of weapons and equipment that Ukraine needs to the U.S. President Barack Obama, Senator John McCain and other officials who are directly involved in the decision making process.

“Some of the weapons are non-lethal. For example, radars and UAVs, radio communications and interference suppression devices. The lethal weapons include, primarily, anti-missile systems, including Javelin,” Andriy Parubiy said.

On the question about the increasing of Putin’s agression against Ukraine the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy underlined:

“And he will proceed, until he is stopped by force.”
