Denisova promises rising of pensions from January

The Cabinet plans rising of pensions from January 1 next year. This depends on the fact whether the parliament approves economic, tax and budget reforms, offered by the government.
Social Policy Minister Liudmyla Denisova told in the program “Government in touch with citizens” on the First National TV Channel Tuesday, Ukrinform reports.
“Since January 1, 2015, the government plans to increase the pension amounts. In other words, the subsistence minimum, which is the basis for calculating pensions, and the size of subsistence minimum for the able-bodied people,” she said.
As the Minister explained, if the reforms proposed by the government are approved by the parliament, the budget will additionally receive UAH 62 billion. “If reforms offered by Yatseniuk are supported by the parliament, we will count on UAH 62 billion. Undoubtedly, this will mean rising of pensions and wages,” Denisova added.
In case it is not approved, according to her, additional revenues will be only UAH 24 billion.
