Def. Ministry signs contracts worth UAH 2 bln since early 2016

Ukraine`s Defense Ministry and the state-owned enterprises have signed 73 contracts and additional agreements worth more than UAH 2 billion since the beginning of the year, spokesman for the Defense Ministry Colonel Oleksiy Chernobay said at a briefing on Tuesday, according to an UaPosition correspondent.
”According to the state defense order, this year, the Ministry of Defense has concluded 73 contracts and additional agreements with SOEs totaling more than UAH 2 billion. A total of 110 arms and military vehicles, as well as 28,000 pieces of ammunitions have been purchased and delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Chernobay said.
Over the past week, the repair crews of the Ukrainian Armed Forces returned 243 units of arms and military equipment to the Donbas conflict zone. In particular, tanks, howitzers, anti-tank guns, armored personnel carriers, and armored fighting vehicles.
Since the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, nearly bout 42,500 units of armament and military equipment have been restored, with nearly 40,000 restored by the repair crews of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
