Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation issues Andriy Lysenko has called the statement of the Russian Federal Security Service a ”subversive group of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine” in the occupied port city of Sevastopol another fake story and evidence that the FSB has become a ”lie factory”.
”FSB has once again resorted to deceptive tactics, stating that it was the Ukrainian saboteurs who were allegedly detained in Sevastopol. All of this is a lie, another fake, which confirms that the FSB has become a lie factory,” Lysenko told UNIAN.
”This is done in order to discredit the Ukrainian military and Ukraine as a whole, to boast the alleged effectiveness of the Russian special services, and mislead the Russian public and the international community in order to draw attention to Ukraine`s allegedly aggressive actions. Ukraine is a peaceful state, we will defend our territory, but I would like to stress that no Ukrainian military, especially a spy, has been detained by the Russian special services,” he said.
”It is clear that they will target someone, plant some explosives on them and say that they are `Ukrainian saboteurs`. We have already witnessed it several times, but this information has never been confirmed,” Lysenko said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation claims they detained in the strategic port city of the occupied Crimea, Sevastopol, a group of commandos of the Ukrainian military intelligence, who plotted subversive action on military sites.
”The Federal Security Service November 9, 2016 in Sevastopol detained members of a subversive terrorist group of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who plotted acts of sabotage on the sites of military infrastructure and critical infrastructure of the Crimean peninsula,” the FSB press service reported on its website Thursday, November 10.
