Davutoglu: Turkey not to recognize Crimea annexation

Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu has expressed support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
He announced this during the meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the President’s press office reports.
“Territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine are important not only for you, but also for the whole world,” Davutoglu said.
He also emphasized that Turkey didn’t recognize the annexation of Crimea.
Turkey’s Prime Minister noted that Ukraine and its stability were the key factors for the Black Sea region.
In his turn, Poroshenko called for joint efforts in the issues of regional security.
In addition, Ukraine’s President expressed concern over the rights of the Crimean Tatar people.
“Today, Crimean Tatars withstand a significant pressure and need support,” the President said. In his turn, Ahmet Davutoglu assured that the Crimean issue should always have remained on the agenda.
The parties discussed the activation of bilateral cooperation in military-technical and energy sector and negotiated the financial aid to Ukraine within the IMF and Turkish investments in the Ukrainian economy.
