Criminal case opened against Porechenkov

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has instituted criminal proceedings against Russian actor Mikhail Porechenkov, who personally took part in the shelling of a Ukrainian Armed Forces unit with a heavy machine gun in Donetsk. Porechenkov is facing imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years.
Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov reported this on his Facebook page.
“The Interior Ministry’s investigative department opened criminal proceedings against actor Mikhail Porechenkov under Part 4, Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” Avakov wrote.
He recalled that Porechenkov, who arrived in Donetsk as part of an armed group, personally took part in the shelling of a Ukrainian Armed Forces unit with automatic weapons.
“These pictures appeared on TV screens, fully exposing this Russian citizen of a crime committed on Ukrainian territory. According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for a period of 7 to 12 years,” he said.
