Core inflation up 6.3% in Ukraine in April

Core inflation in Ukraine in April 2017 remained at the level of 6.3% in annual terms, compared with April 2016, and recorded in March 2017 against March 2016, according to Ukrainian State Statistics Service`s website.

Core inflation in April 2017 slowed to 0.6% compared to March 2017 against 1.7% in March 2017 from February 2017, the State Statistics Service said.

Since the beginning of the year, core inflation has been 3.4%.

The State Statistics Service said that the data excluded reports from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and Donbas.

Earlier, inflation in Ukraine in April 2017 slowed to 12.2% year-over-year, as well as slackened to 0.9% from March 2017. Since the beginning of the year, consumer prices in Ukraine have grown by 4.9%.
