Canada to allocate $54 million to Ukraine

Canada will provide financial assistance worth $54 million to Ukrainian business.
Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast said this at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Aivaras Abromavicius, the Yevropeiska Pravda online newspaper reported.
“Today, during a meeting with the Ukrainian minister, we have announced the opening of a credit line worth $54 million. This money should help to strengthen the economic situation in Ukraine,” Fast said.
According to him, this money will be spent on the development of dairy industry, as well as on the construction of grain storages.
“Taking into account that Ukraine has gathered a record crop of grain in the current marketing year, such assistance will be very relevant,” he added.
