Canada can allocate $20 million to Ukrainian agrarians – Pavlenko

Ministry of Agrarian Policy is conducting negotiations with Canadian colleagues on allocation of $20 million to finance small and medium businesses.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oleksiy Pavlenko said this to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“We are currently negotiating on strengthening trade relations with the Canadian side. It is too early to announce results so far, but we are discussing bilateral cooperation program and about $20 million may be allocated to the Ukrainian side within its framework. These funds can go directly to our agricultural producers. We want to open up the opportunities for financing small and medium businesses,” Pavlenko said.
He added that Ukraine also conducts negotiations on profound cooperation in trade issues with European, Asian and African countries. “This year we set a task to enter the European market with Ukrainian pork, beef and dairy products,” he said.
