Cabinet wants to close Ukrainian-language version of Euronews

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers offers to stop broadcasting of the Ukrainian-language version of the international TV channel Euronews.
This is stated in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Termination of Broadcasting of the Ukrainian-Language Version of the International TV Channel Euronews,” which was published on the website of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting.
According to the document, the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTCU) should terminate the license agreement with the international TV channel on the establishment of the Ukrainian-language version and sell stocks of Euronews, which belongs to the NTCU.
In addition, if the corresponding order of the government is signed, the National Television Company is to stop producing the Ukrainian-language version of the Euronews channel.
