Cabinet to address issue on simplifying customs control

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to adopt a number of decisions at the next government meeting, tentatively scheduled for May 25, which will allow Ukraine to implement a ”single window” system at the country`s customs houses.
”We will consider a number of customs-related issues at a government meeting, for example, the ”single window”. The adopted decisions will help eliminate the so-called ”tax squirrels” [tax officers that have been covering for illegal export of walnuts from Ukraine] that exert pressure on business,” Ukraine`s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wrote on Facebook.
The prime minister earlier said that the U.S. government pledged to support Ukraine in matters related to the customs reform. In particular, Ukraine and the United States plan to sign an agreement on mutual assistance between the two states` customs service.
