The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to establish a State Commission for Emergency Situations.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said this during a meeting of the Cabinet, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The Cabinet of Ministers decided on the establishment of the State Commission for Emergency Situations. The prime minister will be the chairman of the State Commission, Deputy Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko and Head of the State Service for Emergency Situations Serhiy Bochkovsky will be two Deputy Chairmen of the State Commission. The government has also decided to establish regional coordination centers for emergency situations. These centers will be established in each region and will be headed by the Chairmen of the Regional State Administrations,” he said.
According to Yatseniuk, the task of the State and Regional Commissions for Emergency Situations is an inventory of all the objects of civil protection, as well as formation of a single request for supply of material and technical assistance: engineering machinery, corporeal property, medicines and food.
