Berlin says talks in Normandy format are constructive

Berlin thinks the talks in the Normandy format that took place in the German capital on Monday are constructive, but they also leave many questions unanswered.
Such an assessment was given by the German Federal Foreign Office, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The talks were “constructive and led to some progress, but the answers to many questions, obviously, have yet to be found,” the Federal Foreign Office said in a statement.
According to the German side, which is one of the participants of the “Normandy Four” along with Ukraine, Russia and France, negotiations will continue in the near future.
As reported, Berlin hosted a meeting of representatives of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France at the level of senior diplomats. Ukraine was represented at the meeting in the “Normandy format” by Director of the Foreign Ministry’s Policy and Communications Department Oleksiy Makeyev.
