Artillery helps our roadblocks counter terrorists – NSDC

The artillery repels attacks of terrorists, who are attacking our roadblocks in Bakhmutivka, Luhansk region. Ukrainian units are sent there.
Spokesman of the NSDC Information-Analytical Center Andriy Lysenko told a briefing, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Currently, a fight is in the area of Bakhmutivka, Luhansk region. Terrorists unsuccessfully tried to capture our roadblocks. Ukrainian military have enough weapons and ammunition, they are protected with engineering structures, the command maintains communication with them and controls the situation. Now, the Ukrainian artillery repels attacks of terrorists, who assault our roadblocks. Ukrainian units went to the area of the battle to help destroy the militants and liquidate the threat to roadblocks,” Andriy Lysenko noted.
Answering a question of journalists, he specified that the situation, in which our roadblocks appeared, is not a trap, “since there is possibility to send reinforcements and to cover our military with the artillery, which works both to cover [our soldiers], and to defeat those, who attempt to attack.”
As previously reported by the media, referring to head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal, over a hundred Ukrainian military are surrounded near Bakhmutivka, armored vehicles are lost, and there are injured, killed and captured soldiers, the situation is critical.
