Anti-Corruption Bureau to be created in Ukraine on January 14 – Poroshenko

The Anti-Corruption Bureau will be created in Ukraine on January 14.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at an economic forum in Warsaw on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“A new Anti-Corruption Bureau will be created in Ukraine on January 14. Representatives of parliament will prepare their proposals regarding a new head of the bureau. I promise you an interesting surprise on January 14,” he said.
According to Poroshenko, decisive actions by the newly created body will demonstrate that there is no place for corruption in Ukraine.
He said that Ukraine was now experiencing the most difficult period in history. “However, joint coordination of efforts with the Western countries will bring peace to Ukraine, and it will happen very quickly,” he said.
He said that cooperation with international financial institutions would create a “cushion” for reforms in Ukraine.
Poroshenko said he was convinced that Ukraine would climb quickly in the rating of doing business.
