“Today, the possibility of a repeated attack both from the territory of Russia and from the territory of Belarus remains. There is a risk. It was a month ago, two, three and now remains, and it will be while a lot of Russian equipment is located on the territory of Belarus close to Ukrainian borders. It is enough to start an offensive. There are no people, but there is equipment. This is enough to say that there is a threat. That is, we have to be ready. We should analyze information from all the reports and intelligence, including that we cannot relax,” – emphasized Chaus.
According to him, the time from the order of the Russian command for military units to advance on the Chernihiv region (north of Ukraine, close to the border of Belarus) again to the actual approach of their equipment with personnel to the borders of Ukraine, this is the time for the movement of personnel and can be from three days to a week.
However, he also noted that he is not talking about an increase in the threat, it still exists after the de-occupation of the region. In addition, in his opinion, if the Russians dare to attack again, they will probably change their tactics, because they got a different experience here. But the Belarusians are unlikely to go to war.
